He graduated from Trinity Theological Seminary in 1988 with a Ph.D.in Philosophy of Religion, magna cum laude. In 1996 he received his MD from SABA University. Dr. Jacobus is licensed to practice in New Jersey, Missouri, Florida, and Indiana. He is also a licensed Acupuncturist and boarded in Clinical Nutrition.

He retired from practice in 2011. Since 2012 he has taught at Word Ablaze Bible Institute in Nakuru, Kenya to pastors and church leaders. The school represents all evangelical denominations.

He has been involved with his son in Vital Injection, a nonprofit organization which ministers chiropractic, medicine and Christ to the 10/40 window. To date, they have taken medical teams to Russia, Africa, Mexico, China, Haiti, Mongolia, Tibet, India and other countries.

He is married to Marlene and they have two children (both married). Dr. Brent Jacobus is the Medical Director, Winfield Woods Medical Complex (a multi-specialty clinic which he runs with his father) in Crown Point, IN and Mrs. Alicyn Amann of Castle Rock, CO.

Arlyn says, "From my earliest remembrance, my dear mother read the Bible and prayed over me. She spoke to me about Jesus every day and night. Our family was in church whenever the doors were open and God was the center of our lives."

Richards said his enduring Olympic memory is in giving everything he had. "It's in the striving, not in the winning — that’s the Olympics,” Richards said 40 years after his first Olympic victory. “It’s not in the gold medal, but in trying to be your best, in reaching out. 

Bob Richards was born on February 20, 1926.  He was on three U.S. Olympic Teams in two events:   1948, 1952, and 1956 Summer Olympics as a pole vaulter and as a decathlete in 1956. He won a gold medal in the pole vault in both 1952 and 1956, becoming the only male two-time champion in the event in Olympic history.   He also won a bronze medal in the pole vault in 1948.

While he was an active athlete, Richards became an ordained minister. He was ordained in 1946 as a minister in the Church of the Brethren (which led to his being nicknamed the "Vaulting Vicar" or the "Pole Vaulting Parson").

Richards later became involved in promoting physical fitness and continued to vault in his later years. He was the first athlete to appear on the front of Wheaties cereal boxes  and also was the first Wheaties spokesman, setting up the Wheaties Sports Federation, which encouraged participation in Olympic sports.

He ran for President of the United States in 1984 on the Populist Party ticket.

John Flack, a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary, was the youth minister at my home church in Bremerton in 1959. He taught my friends and me how to share our faith with university students. With John, we would go over to the University of Washington and spend all day sharing our faith. John was a great practical teacher.

After leaving our church, John was personally recruited by Bill Bright, the President of CRU to do campus evangelism throughout the United States plus conference speaking. John was one of the first nationwide Campus Crusade college evangelists. He was a master communicator, a one-time success motivation speaker, a passionate skilled evangelist who could captivate a crowd in seconds. He was a former football player for Princeton University. Where ever he went he stood out at 6 foot 2 inches and he weighed around 260 pounds. Some of his Dallas Seminary professors said John was one of the greatest natural talents to attend the seminary. John went home to the Lord in the late 79's.

John recruited me to join him to reach university students for Christ. After much prayer, God led me to join CRU to help fulfill the Great Commission and help reach the world for Christ. From that day in 1963, until today, I have been ministering full time!

For over five decades, Dr. Henry Brandt-international consultant, educator, counselor, author, and conference speaker-impacted the lives of countless people. With a focus on individual development as well as marriage and family living, the legacy of his ministry has been written in the hearts and lives of generations of men, women, and children around the world.

Henry received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Sociology from Houghton College in 1947, his Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology from Wayne State University in 1949, and his PhD in Marriage and Family Relations from Cornell University in 1952.

Throughout Henry's career, he taught in a number of institutes, colleges and seminaries, including The General Motors Institute, Houghton College, North American Baptist Seminary, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Christian Heritage College, and Palm Beach Atlantic University. He was instrumental in founding departments of psychology for both Christian Heritage College and Palm Beach Atlantic University.

Henry rightly has been honored with the title: "The Father of Modern-Day Biblical Counseling." For decades he has counseled individuals to evaluate their heart attitudes and behavior in the light of biblical teaching and to guide them to a godly solution.

In 2003, the American Association of Christian Counselors presented Henry with their "Care Giver Award" for his lifetime achievements in counseling. With a focus on individual development as well as marriage and family living, the legacy of his ministry has been written in the hearts and lives of generations of men, women, and children around the world.

Over the decades, Henry's wisdom and skill as a communicator has also authored numerous books with a focus on individual development and marriage and family living. His work, which has been translated into many languages, has circulated the globe.

Dr. Henry Brandt, died November 24, 2008 of complications related to Parkinson's disease. He was 92.

Vonette Zachary Bright was an American author, speaker, and the co-founder of Cru.

She was born in Coweta, Oklahoma, and graduated with a B. A. degree in Home Economics from Texas Women's University.

She attended a conference at Forest Home Christian Conference Center, where she prayed to receive Christ under the spiritual direction of Henrietta Mears.

Vonette is known for her prayer rallies, her work as the chair of the National Day of Prayer task force that helped establish a fixed day for the event under Ronald Reagan.

After Bill's Brights death in 2003, Vonette continued her ministry work until her death in 2015.
